LG Manoj Sinha Launches Mission ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Manoj Sinha Tuesday launched Mission ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’ in J&K.

LG on one of the social media platforms said that besides launching Mission ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’ in J&K, 80 Aadhar Enabled Payment Systems were distributed to promote door to door digital banking & other services in remote areas, under JKRLM. 

He also said that a week-long training programme was Inaugurated for Krishi & Pashu Sakhis.

LG said that Nari Shakti’s social & economic independence is the bedrock of any nation’s progress. “These 3 new initiatives of DIGI-Pay, Krishi & Pashu Sakhi will further accelerate efforts of J&K govt.in Empowering Women & making them key partners in UT’s development journey,” said LG. 

He further said that DIGI-Pay Sakhi has introduced financial inclusion within the SHG ecosystem, creating much needed financial access points.2000 remote villages of UT will be covered in the Ist phase. 

LG said that Directed JKRLM to train DIGI-Pay Sakhis in 360° financial services training courses run by BSE in J&K.

“J&K govt. has started a mass movement for the Socio-Economic upliftment of women across the UT. A first of its kind Women Industrial Estate will come up at Udhampur Industrial Estate, further strengthening the Women Entrepreneurs Ecosystem in J&K,” said LG.
