SRINAGAR: Continuing its demolition drive, Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today conducted a demolition drive through its Enforcement Wing under the supervision of Enforcement Officer, LDA.
The drive was carried in the area including Alamdar Colony Lone Mohalla, Nowpora, Meena Bazar Dal, Jan Mohalla Brein and Nishat in which five illegal constructions including Tin Walling, Single storey bed work, roofing and two Shops were demolished besides, seizing joinery material including windows, on spot.
The authorities have asked the people residing within the LDA jurisdiction and in prohibited Lake areas not to go for any illegal constructions and encroachments.
Moreover, the Tipper and Load carrier owners have been directed not to ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal and Nigeen Lake without seeking proper permission from the competent authorities.
Any person who does not adhere to the directions will be dealt with under law.
