ISLAMABAD: At least 49 Indian paramilitary soldiers were killed on Thursday in occupied Kashmir in the deadliest attack on security forces since 2002, police said.
While many Bollywood celebs condemned the attack, Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi, known for voicing his opinions on political matters, shared his two cents on the incident. Taking to Twitter, the Waar actor wrote:
“Every human life is sacred, its loss should be mourned. I am not celebrating the death of these soldiers but Kashmiris don’t want Indian Army occupation and my advice to the Indian Army: Leave Kashmir because Kashmiris have taken everything in their own hands,” he remarked.
A suicide car bomber rammed a bus carrying troopers belonging to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the deadliest attack on Indian occupying forces there since 2002.
The suicide bombing outside Srinagar, reportedly claimed by the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) group, saw explosives packed inside a van rip through buses in a convoy of 78 vehicles, carrying some 2,500 members of the paramilitary force.
Two buses, with 35 people each, bore the brunt of the massive blast, heard miles away, around 20 kilometres from the city of Srinagar on the main highway to Jammu.
