KPC organizes workshop on Newspaper reporting, Mojo Journalism

SRINAGAR: In the ongoing initiative of nourishing and capacity-building measures for aspiring Journalists, the Kashmir Press Club (KPC) on Tuesday organized a day-long workshop on Newspaper and Television Reporting.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in the first half of the session, senior Journalist of the valley and Correspondent for BBC Urdu Services Reyaz Masroor while sharing his experience calibrated the aspiring journalists on Newspaper reporting and script writing formats.

During the session, Masroor through the presentation highlighted many aspects of Newspaper reporting, which included the authenticity of the news and journalistic ethics while covering the events.

Along with the participation of many journalists from different media organisations, the workshop also witnessed the participation of many Journalism students from three different Universities of Kashmir.

Earlier, a couple of weeks back Kashmir Press Club had organized a workshop on Data Journalism in collaboration with Data Leads and Google News Initiative (India Training Network).

In the second half of the workshop KPC president and associate editor of India Today Network, Shuja-Ul- Haq delivered the session on modern-day Mojo Journalism and TV Journalism

During his session, he also calibrated the participants of workshop TV Scripting and modern-day tools used for Mojo or Mobile Journalism.

Journalists and students who participated in the workshop hailed the efforts and initiative of the KPC for enhancing their skills and incorporation of newly introduced terminology of journalism.
