NEW DELHI: Marshal BK Pandey (Retd) on Tuesday said that the fight between India and Pakistan is seven decades old and it is Herculean to resolve the issue amicably anytime soon.

“India should engage at four points Politics, military, diplomatic and economic to solve Kashmir issue once for all” BK Pandey said.

He further said that Government has all the option and they shouldn’t ignore any of the point.

Kashmir conflict is a territorial conflict primarily between India and Pakistan, having started just after the partition of India in 1947. India and Pakistan have fought three wars over Kashmir, including the Indo-Pakistani Wars of 1947 and 1965, as well as the Kargil War of 1999. The two countries have also been involved in several skirmishes over control of the Siachen Glacier.

The conflict born in 1947 has led to three wars between India and Pakistan. An estimated 70,000 people have been killed in the violence in past three decades since the armed revolt against Indian rule broke out in the region in 1989.
