Soon after the culmination of congregational Friday prayers, scores of JRL activists assembled outside the historic grand mosque and raised slogans against the government.

The activists were demanding immediate release of political prisoners and youth lodged in different jails of the state and outside.

At Maisuma, scores of the JRL supporters led by JKLF leaders staged a protest demonstration against the continuous detention of Kashmiri prisoners.
