JRL calls shutdown in Kashmir on July 8 to remember Burhan Wani

SRINAGAR: Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) on Wednesday called for a complete shutdown in Kashmir on July 8 to commemorate the death anniversary of militant commander Burhan Wani.

JRL, comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik, in a statement said they would hold a public meeting in Tral – native town of Wani – on July 8.

They also asked religious clerics to hold Fateh Khwani on July 6th to commemorate the 2nd death anniversary of Wani and 126 others slain in 2016 uprising.
