JKPM leader Chasfeeda Shah condemns police action for insulting religious sentiments of a Sikh journalist

Srinagar:- Senior journalist and JKPM leader Chasfeeda Shah has strongly condemned harassment caused to senior journalist Amrit Pal Singh and hurting his religious sentiments by hitting at his turban by a police frisking party deployed outside National Conference (NC) headquarters here a few days ago when the party president Dr Farooq Abdullah was scheduled to address a press conference.

She has demanded stern action against the police personnel involved in the shameful incident. 

In a statement, Chasfeeda Shah, while condemning the police party for insulting a senior Sikh journalist, has asked the authorities to make belt forces accountable so that growing tendency of insulting journalists and hurting religious sentiments of Sikh community members are curbed effectively. 

Meanwhile, JKPM leader Rydampreet Sing along with many Sikh youth and party activists held a massive protest demonstration at Poonch against insulting the senior Sikh journalist Amrit Pal Singh and hitting out at his turban in the garb of frisking. He has also demanded strict action against the culprits.
