JKBOSE announces mass promotion for students of 11th standard in Ladakh UT

LADAKH: The Jammu and Kashmir board of school education Friday announced mass promotion for the students of higher secondary part-1 (11th standard) 2019-2020 annual-biannual private of Union Territory of Ladakh.

According to the  news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), JKBOSE announced the mass promotion for the students of 11th standard in view of the prevailing situation due to coronavirus pandemic.

As per the order the examination of private fresh/failure/reappear candidates of higher secondary part-1 (class 11th) 2019-2020 annual-biannaul belonging to Ladakh numbering 575 (446 of kargil and 129 of leh) was slated to be held during the month of April 2020.

“In view of the prevailing situation, it is apparent that the conduct of the mid examination is impossible in the near future and the delay in the conduct of said examination may adversely affect the academic career of candidates who were supposed to participate in the said examination”, reads the order.

“Now thereof, in order  to save the academic future it is hereby notified that all the candidates who were to appear in HSP-1 (Class 11) annual/private/biannual 2019-2020 private examination are promoter to HSP-2 (class 12th) as one time exception provided that all such candidates have submitted the permission cum admission forms for the said examination and have been found eligible to appear in the said examination”.
