Srinagar: J&K Handicapped Association on Tuesday staged a protest in the Press Enclave here and demanded the release of the Class IV examination shortlist which was held by SSRB.

Scores of disabled persons, after assembling in the premises of Press Enclave, raised slogans against the Chairman SSRB and said that the SSRB has been sitting on the shortlists of disabled candidates who had appeared in its recently conducted examination.

“This protest is against SSRB, which held the examinations of class IV posts and also completed interviews of the same, but till date, the shortlist of disabling candidates has not been released. We do not understand why SSRB is treating us inappropriately,” said Abdul Rasheed Bhat, State President J&K Handicapped Association.

Bhat also said that they are also a part of the society, and are not happy to come on the roads time and again.

They also appealed to the LG administration to take serious notice of their matter so that SSRB would be pressured to release the shortlist, which, according to them, has not been issued till yet.

Bhat further said that the matter should be solved so that they would not be forced to take any other step in this regard.
