J&K Bank dedicates ambulance to BGSB University Rajouri under its CSR initiative

SRINAGAR: J&K Bank, towards its commitment to support student welfare dedicated an ambulance to the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri on Friday.

The spokesman said that bank’s Zonal Head for Rajouri and Poonch Mohd Shafi Salroo handed over the keys of the ambulance to the Vice Chancellor Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Dr Javed Mussarat in presence of Prof Iqbal Parwez Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri, Prof G M Malik Dean of students, Prof Mohd Aagher Dean Engineering, Prof Naseem AhmedDean Management, Mr Mohd Ishaq Controller of Examinations, senior bank officials, faculty members and a large gathering of students in a simple but impressive function held at BGSBU Rajouri.

Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Mussarat while acknowledging the proactive role played by J&K Bank in socio-economic empowerment of the people in Jammu and Kashmir expressed his gratitude to the Bank for providing state of the art doorstep banking facilities to the faculty and students besides collaborating on a multitude of initiatives of the University. The Vice-Chancellor added,“The ambulance dedicated under CSR initiative by the Bank shall be of immense help not only for the students and staff of the university but also for the locals hailing from this hilly area. I have every hope that the relation with J&K Bank will touch new heights under the dynamic leadership of Parvez Ahmed Chairman and CEO J&K Bank who is very keen on fostering industry-academia partnership in the state for the betterment of the society by harnessing intellectual capabilities”.

Speaking on the occasion the Bank’s Zonal Head said, “J&K Bank as a premier flagship company of the state functions not only as a commercial institution but as a responsible Corporate Citizen also understands its responsibility for up-gradation of social infrastructure in the state. Bank has undertaken many CSR initiatives in the state, particularly in the institutions of higher learning for the wellbeing of students. The dedication of ambulance to BGSBU further emphasizes Bank’s continued commitment towards causes of social relevance.”
