ANANTNAG: As part of the Jan Abhiyan, Back to Village (B2V4), the Department of Cooperatives Anantnag today organised a Mega Training cum Awareness programme at Dak Bungalow Achabal.
Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Anantnag, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Ganderbal & Bandipora (as special invitee), Assistant Registrars, Accountants, field staff, Chairperson of Cooperative Societies, besides members of Cooperative Societies of Anantnag district remained present during the camp.
On the occasion, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Anantnag, Muzaffar Ahmad Baig discussed various schemes in vogue for the upliftment of the Cooperative Societies. He stressed upon the field workers to move from door to door for creating mass awareness regarding the functioning and schemes of the department of Cooperatives.
The Deputy Registrar also discussed the importance of Jan Abhiyan for bringing governance to the door steps of the general public.
Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Ganderbal & Bandipora who participated as special invitee on the occasion spoke about the initiatives of the government for strengthening the Cooperative Societies at grass roots level.
He assured the field staff that all the DPRs from districts have been sent to the higher authorities for approval. He said that intangible assets have increased satisfactorily over the past few years and suggested coordination among various stakeholders for the overall benefit of the Cooperatives.
Members of Cooperative Societies put forward their suggestions for better functioning of the department, and got patient hearing from the experts present in the camp.
