BUDGAM: To bring change among people to improve child sex ratio, District Programme Officer ICDS Projects Budgam Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh today flagged off a vehicle with PAS installed on it to create awareness about the significance of girl child here.
The vehicle passed through every nook and corner of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Er Mohd Azhar Lone said that keeping in view the COVID -19 SOPs and ongoing pre B2V3 Jan Abhiyan the campaign will go a long way in bringing about tangible psychological changes among the citizens.
He appreciated the role of Assistant CDPO and other supervisors of the project in launching the campaign and assured that no stone shall be left unturned in contributing towards the welfare of the girl child.
The CDPO gave brief details about other schemes in the department for the welfare of girl child such as Ladli Beti, PMMVY and SAG.
