Human Rights Day: Mirwaiz seeks help of world community to end Kashmir rights violations

SRINAGAR: Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday appealed to the world community to help in the resolution of Kashmir dispute to end human rights violations in the region.

Taking to Twitter, Mirwaiz said while the world is observing Human Rights Day Kashmir continues to suffer. 

“As the world observes #HumanRightsDay today #Kashmir continues to suffer and simmer! Mothers mourning martyed teenaged sons !homes blown up,inmates on the road in biting cold !people thrashed beaten and harassed while most leadership detained. Appeal to all to help put an end to this inhumanity with the resolution of the Kashmir dispute #KashmirBleeds #KashmirKillings,” Mirwaiz wrote on his twitter on Human Rights Day.

He said while Universal Declaration of Human rights was a milestone on universal laws around the globe, but in ‘Kashmir political and human rights continued to be violated.’

“While Universal Declaration of Human Rights continues to be the milestone for universal laws around the world. In #Kashmir, political and human rights continue to be violated,” he said.
