SOPORE: A gunfight broke out in Gund Brath village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said that the gunfight broke out after a joint team of the army’s 22 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Gund Brath.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected house, the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering a gunfight, reported news agency GNS.
As per reports two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
Till this report was filed intermittent firing was going on.
Meanwhile, mobile Internet has been also suspended in the area.
