KULGAM: International Girl Child Day was today celebrated at kulgam and an awareness programme was organized by ICDS Kulgam here today.
DC Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat was chief guest on the occasion
Speaking on the DC highlighted importance of girls and their education.He added that girls at present time are equally competing in all fields and are serving in different departments and fields with best capacities.
Present on the occasion were DPO, Tehsildar, CDPOs Supervisors, Aaganwadi workers and other officers and officials from various departments besides members of mahila shakti participated in the programme.
Later payment was also disbursed among registered nursing mothers.
