Ghari Panchayat of Ramban craving for basic facilities

Ramban: In modern era, various villages including Ghari Panchayat of this district is craving for basic facilities, the students of various government schools uses the wooden bridge to pass over Dondahi nallah, and authorities are least bothered to help the rural populace.

Sarpanch of Ghari panchyat Ishtiyaq Lone said that the Primary School Ghari was established in 1956, and was upgrade as Middle School in 2004, as many as 150 students enrolled but due to non-seriousness of authorities, the area has suffered a lot especially in the field of education, health and other sectors.

“Around having a population of 2 lacs, the Ramban district was always ignored on developmental front during the previous regimes, and locals alleged that former MLA Neelam Kumar of BJP has also failed to bring any relief to the people of this constituency, said Ishtiyaq Ahmad.

Lone said that, another, Girls High School Kumate in Zone Batote of tehsil Rajgrah here, has an enrollment of around 200 students but the school too is lacks basic facilities.

Local resident believes that the union government always speaks high about facilities that are providing to students of J&K, but no such thing happens on the ground in this area as students regularly cross a dangerous temporarily wooden logs to cross the stream known as Dondahi Nalla.

“Students use to cross this steam round the year, while as gushing water remains very high due to which there are more chances of any fatal accidents, if the problem was not streamline in possible time,” they said.

Dondahi Nala Bridge has become crossing point not only for students but for local residents of these areas, and even though in this advanced age the area is far behind of motorable roads, but authorities here are least bothered to visit this area to take the access of the sufferings of people.

“One can imagine the importance of this bridge as this wooden bridge also connects people of Ramban and Doda district adding, the government had allocated many funds for this constituency for departments concerned but they have failed to utilize them for betterment of people,” Sarpanch said.

The locals said that, their district has been always ignored so for, the health sector is in bad conditions, viz a viz education, road connectivity, employment.

People have appealed Governor, district administration and local authorities to intervene into the matter and solve their problems on humanitarian grounds, else they will be forced to hit to the streets.
