SHOPIAN: A former Special Police officer (SPO) was among three persons abducted by suspected militants from Reben village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday evening.
A police official said that suspected militants abducted former Special Police Officer(SPO) Basharat Ahmad Wagay, Riyaz Ahmad and Zahid from Reben village at around 4:30 pm.
During last week as many as nine persons were abducted from the district.
Of them, seven were later set free while two–Huzaif Ashraf of Manzgam and Nadeem Manzoor of Safanagri were killed.
One of the released abductees was also shot and injured by his captors.
