FCS&CA team recovers Rs 10400 fine from erring traders at Banihal

RAMBAN: Department of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs along with joint team of enforcement departments today conducted market checking drive in Banihal Bazar.

The drive was conducted on the directions of Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Banihal, Zaheer Abbas.

The team headed by Tehsil Supply Officer, Banihal, Gian Chand Khajuria along with police officials inspected over  50 establishments like mutton, chicken, milk and Grocery stores, besides vegetable and fruit vendors and booked several  traders. The team  realized a fine of Rs. 10400 from them   for not displaying of rate list, overcharging and unauthorized installation of hoardings.

TSO instructed shopkeepers to display rate lists and sell commodities on the rates fixed by Department/Associations. Moreover, different business establishments were also made aware about different rules and regulation of the department in vogue.

Meanwhile, wearing face mask drive was also conducted and   persons found roaming without wearing face masks in public places were fined. 

The enforcement teams warned shops and business establishments to adhere to SOPs and other preventative measures issued by the Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infections.
