SRINAGAR: Former MLA Er Rasheed on Sunday said that the three-year-old rape victim of Sumbal does not belong to any particular community but to the entire humanity and that the government should establish a fast trial court for the hearing of the case.
“We should not forget that victim belongs to entire humanity and not to any particular sect or region. The government should establish a fast trial court for hearing of the case,” Er. Rasheed said in a statement.
Er. Rasheed also appealed to the people not to pay heed to the rumors, saying that people of the entire state were together to fight for the justice to the victim.
“We should not allow any miscreant or vested element to create confusion over the sensitive issue and everyone must also ensure that the dignity and honor of the victim and her family is not dragged beyond a point,” Er. Rasheed said.
