DSW holds painting competition

Ganderbal: Department of Students Welfare (DSW), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organized an on the spot painting competition on the theme “History and Heritage of India” under the Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav programme.

Students from various departments participated in the competition. Ms. Anam Javeed, Department of Commerce bagged the first position for her painting that depicted multiple historic monuments having deep connectivity with history and heritage of India. Ms Ibrah from the Department of Biotechnology and Mr. Ragul M from the Department of Convergent Journalism got the second and third position respectively for their work.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farooq A Shah, who was the chief guest, felicitated the winners and participants with certificates during the valediction. 

Earlier, Dean Students Welfare,  Dr. Mehraj Ud Din Shah, welcomed all the guests and participants of the competition and highlighted the need for holding such events.  Mr. Faizan Ashraf Mir, Deputy Director, Green Campus and Mr. Muhammad Ali Shabir, Assistant Professor acted as jury for the competition. Dr. Asif Khan, Deputy Director, Tulmullah Campus proposed the vote of thanks.
