Doda: District Task Force firms up Plan for National Immunization Day

DC calls for maximum publicity, public awareness ahead of scheduled Day

DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh chaired a meeting of the District Task Force to review the Action plan for the National Pulse Polio Immunization scheduled on March 3, 2024.

The meeting discussed the activities planned for National Immunization Day, emphasizing the theme “Vaccines Work for All” for India’s National Vaccination.

The health department officials were asked to ensure maximum publicity and awareness for the ahead of the scheduled Day. He assured full support from the district administration and urged SDMs to coordinate with the health department to make all necessary arrangements for the event.

Emphasizing targeted publicity from this day, he instructed the Chief Education Officer Doda to prepare teaching staff and students for the upcoming Pulse Polio day celebration.

 The meeting revealed that 507 block-level booths, 11 transit points, 20 at booths at religious places and 35 centers at hard-to-reach areas are being established for the Pulse Polio event.

Attendees included ACD, CEO, District Nodal Officer ISM, Medical Superintendent AH GMC Doda, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Doda, SDM Thathri and Gandoh, District Medical Officer, District Immunization Officer, BMOs, and representatives from concerned departments.
