DLSA Kishtwar organises National Lok Adalat

KISHTWAR: District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar organised a National Lok Adalat for amicable settlement of all category of cases except non-compoundable, here the other day.

The National Lok Adalat was held under the Chairmanship of Pr. District and Sessions Judge, Y.P Kotwal.

Three benches were constituted  for the settlement of the maximum number of cases. The first bench was presided over by Y.P Kotwal (Chairman DLSA) and assisted by Imraan Wani (Secretary DLSA).

The second bench was presided over by  Y.P Sharma (CJM) and assisted by  Mahajabeen Akther  (Munsiff/JMIC).

The Third bench was presided over by  Amit Kumar, (ALC)  and  assisted by Kuldeep Sharma (Advocate) .

A total of 2666  cases were taken up for  amicable settlement , of which 348 were settled. An amount of Rs. 1,49,60,325 was settled between the parties and an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- was recovered as fine from the violators.

 Chairman District Legal Services Authority expressed his gratitude and thanks to all the concerned who made this Lok Adalat a success.
