GANDERBAL: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal today organised a legal awareness webinar themed, ‘Rights of women and their protection from Domestic Violence’ under the guidance of Chairperson DLSA (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Ganderbal, Shazia Tabassum.
The main objective of the programme was to make the general public and students aware about various issues related to women and steps provided in law for overcoming the same.
Speaking on the occasion, Advocate Ghulam Rasool delivered a lecture about Rights of women and their protection from Domestic Violence. He also highlighted various schemes being launched by the Govt. for the benefit of women.
Panel Lawyers, Administrator officer and other staff members of OSC Ganderbal, PLVs, Coordinator Women’s Helpline 181 and students from universities, colleges and schools participated in the said webinar.
On the occasion, an interaction session was also held between students and Panel Lawyers.
