District-Level Event for Amrit Kalash Collection under “Meri Maati Mera Desh” initiative held at Samba

SAMBA: In a significant district-level event at Veer Bhoomi Park in Samba, as part of the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” campaign, soil from all blocks and municipal wards was collected in Amrit Kalash pots for the Amrit Kalash Yatra.

The event commenced with a warm address by Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, who expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic response to the initiative. He extended thanks to the nation’s heroes, paying homage to those who sacrificed for our country.

DDC Chairperson Keshav Dutt Sharma paid tribute to the armed forces, paramilitary personnel and police martyrs who defended the nation’s sovereignty, security and integrity. He emphasised the importance of safeguarding our boundaries, embracing the “Meri Maati Mera Desh” program to honour heroes and their families. He also administered the Panch Pran pledge, reaffirming the commitment to the nation’s welfare.

The event was a platform for cultural enrichment, featuring students from Nobel Laureate School Samba and Government Girls High Secondary School Samba who captivated the audience with Nukkad Natak, patriotic dances and songs.

District Panchayat Officer, Dr. Preeti Sharma delivered vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all participants, including the armed forces.

Distinguished personalities, including SSP Benam Tosh, ADC Samba, SDM Vijaypur, BDC members, municipal councilors, district officers, BDOs and PRI members of Samba, graced the event.
