Directs for beautification of Chowgan Ground on priority
KISHTWAR: District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara today convened a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer, Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA), here at his office.
DDC reviewed the progress of various developmental works undertaken by authority during the financial year 2019-2020 under the state CAPEX Budget, PMDR and PMRP.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohd Hanief Malik, Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Parihar, Chief Executive Officer, KDA Anil Sharma and Accounts Officer KDA Dalip Singh Rathore.
Chief Executive Officer, KDA briefed the DDC about various developmental works undertaken by KDA in the financial year 2019-2020 in the district under Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP), Prime Minister’s ‘s Reconstruction Plan (PMRP) and state CAPEX Budget.
CEO further elaborated that about Rs 2 crore is being spent under PMDP in the Construction of TRC at Paddar which will be completed before the commencement of Machial Yatra. He also informed that the beautification work of ziarats at Bhandarkoot and Chhatroo, tourist Hut at Tata Pani Paddar under PMRL scheme will also be completed soon.
DDC asked the CEO to expedite the works under these schemes so that they can be completed within the stipulated time.
He said that there are great avenues of eco-tourism, pilgrimage and heritage tourism, adventure tourism like trekking, rock climbing in Kishtwar and need to be developed to its best potential so that it could benefit the public of Kishtwar economically and socially.
He also impressed upon CEO for fast pacing the works of inns and toilets at Sarthal, Machail and Hud Mata Dachhan for the convenience of pilgrims.
Furthermore, he asked CEO to take immediate steps towards the beautification of historical Chowgan Ground. He also directed the CEO to conduct demarcations of the lands and assets of KDA to prevent any encroachments.
DDC urged for upgradation of Gymnasiums and cafeteria at TRC Kishtwar besides asked CEO to conduct the plantation drives at TRC Kishtwar.
