BANDIPORA: District administration Bandipora Sunday airlifted 194 passengers stranded in Bandipora and Gurez to their respective destinations.
69 passengers were airlifted from Bandipora to Dawar while 09 passengers were airlifted to Baduaab and 14 passengers to Neeru in Tulail block of Gurez Valley. 102 passengers were also airlifted from Gurez to Bandipora.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza said preference was given to patients, paramedic staff, elderly people and students.
DC Bandipora said more sorties will be arranged in coming days to airlift passengers subjected to weather conditions.
