Director FCS&CA reviews functioning of deptt at G’bl

GANDERBAL: Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Khan today visited district Ganderbal to take a detailed review meeting with the officials of department about functioning of department and stock positioning in the district.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on Supply position in the district, availability of petroleum products including Kerosene and LPG, status of Aadhar Seeding, market checking, online transaction and POS, besides dumping of essential commodities.

While reviewing the status of Aadhar Seeding the Assistant Director (AD) informed the meeting that 97 percent of the Aadhar seeding has been achieved in the district.

The Director asked the concerned to ensure sufficient stocking of food grains and essential supplies especially in hilly terrains of the district for upcoming winter season.

He also directed the AD to ensure intensive marketing checking is carried out in the main markets of the district to ensure essential commodities including mutton and chicken are sold as per rates already fixed by the department.

The Director urged the officials of the department to work with zeal and enthusiasm to improve overall functioning of the department and provide timely ration supplies to the public at their doorsteps.

The meeting among others was attended by Assistant Director Food Ganderbal, Naseer Ahmad Baba, all TSOs and others concerned.
