DIC Ramban organises workshop on ease of doing business

RAMBAN: The District Industries Centre, Ramban today held a workshop on ease of doing business in a single window system with an aim to create awareness among the unemployed youth of District Ramban.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban Rajinder Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.

GM DIC Ravinder Kumar Anand and other senior officers  were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion Experts from SICOP led by AM SICOP, Munish Khajuria briefed through a powerpoint presentation on Single Window Clearance mechanism where the entrepreneurs are to be provided with all the services and assistance from different departments under one roof.

The workshop was attended by a number of unemployed educated youth interested entrepreneurs and startups.

J&K Single Window System has emerged as a “One Stop Solution” for investors/applicants ensuring hassle free services, he added.

It was informed that the Integrated Single Window System will facilitate new investments locally & globally either through National Single Window System or through J&K Single Window System (www.singlewindow.jk.gov.in) with user friendly interfaces and timely approvals.

Officials informed the participants about various central and state-sponsored schemes under which incentives are being provided to the startups by the department for the upliftment of the industries sector besides subsidies are being provided to the beneficiaries.

While urging the youth to become job providers instead of job seekers, the ADDC said the youth need to change their attitude and prefer to be entrepreneurs so that they not only get employment for themselves but also provide jobs for others.  He said the government is providing incentives to attract more people to start industries in the state to curb unemployment.

The ADDC deliberated on various Industrial Technologies, policies and procedures and their adaptation practices and intervention in the industries sector.  

Entrepreneurs from all over the district participated in the workshop and interacted with the officials and got information regarding the various schemes under MSME, PMEGP and REGP provided by the department in order to set up their own business ventures.
