DHSK visits Emergency Hospital Kazigund, takes stock of Covid-19 testing at National Highway

Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Sunday visited Emergency Hospital Kazigund, PHC Kazigund and took stock of Covid-19 testing facility on Srinagar-Jammu Highway.

A spokesperson of the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said the Director was accompanied by Chief Medical Officer Kulgam and Block Medical Officer Kazigund besides other health officials.

The director visited all the sections of Emergency Hospital Kazigund and took a review of the health facilities being provided to patients.

He also took the first-hand appraisal of oxygen facilities being provided to the patients at the emergency hospital.

During the visit the Director was informed that a 300 LPM oxygen facility is ready and will be inaugurated at the emergency hospital soon.

Dr Mushtaq was happy over the functioning of the hospital and stressed on uninterrupted health care services to the general public.

He also took a review of Covid-19 testing facility on strategic Srinagar-Jammu Highway near the entry point of Kazigund tunnel (Zig Tunnel).

He directed CMO Kulgam to increase the testing and ensure that every traveler be tested before their entry to Kashmir.

During his visit, the Director also met a delegation of locals and senior citizens of Kazigund who demanded CTC scan facility for the hospital.

The Director assured the local residents that a CTC scan facility will be soon provided to the hospital on a priority basis.
