DHSK pays visit to family of deceased pharmacist in Baramulla

Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Friday visited the family of pharmacist of Baramulla who died due to Covid-19 on November 17 and paid rich tributes to the deceased. He also expressed condolence with the grieved family.

The Director was accompanied by Medical Superintendent District Hospital Baramulla and Block Medical Officer Rohama besides other health officials.

The Director along with the health officials paid rich tributes to the Covid warrior and expressed condolence with the deceased family and prayed for the departed soul.

Dr. Mushtaq said health care workers are fighting the pandemic and have given sacrifices for the public.

“Their sacrifices will be remembered always and it is an inspiration to all of us. They should continue their good work with zeal and zest for this pandemic and always,” he said.

The Director assured every possible help from the Department to the family of the deceased employee. He said all the formalities for the compensation and other things will be done on a priority basis.

Earlier on November 17, Mohmmad Muzafar Marazi who was working as a pharmacist with J&K Health Department and posted in PHC Balhama passed away due to Covid-19 at DRDO Hospital Srinagar.

The deceased pharmacist was infected by Covid-19 during Special Vaccination duty at Srinagar and was deputed by the Directorate of Health Services Kashmir to Srinagar for Carrying Vaccination Drive.
