SHOPIAN: As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign, the District Health Society (DHS) Shopian today held screening camp to conduct health check up of all the students of Government Girls High School Shopian and conducted Quiz and painting competitions of various schools.
The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of the Chief Education Officer and Dy. Chief Medical Officer. The free medicines were distributed among the students on the occasion.
During the event, students who secured first, second and third positions were felicitated by Chief Education Officer and Dy. Chief Medical Officer with appreciation certificates and gifts.
Addressing the event, the Dy. Chief Medical Officer highlighted the role played by the Health Department during the Covid-19 Pandemic and also requested the students of above 18 Years to get their second dose of Covid vaccination at their nearest vaccination centers.
Later, the Chief Education Officer praised the role of the Health Department and said these events should be conducted regularly which will benefit the students at large.
