SHOPIAN: Ahead of phase-III of District Development Council (DDC), Panchayat/ ULB by-elections 51 polling parties along with poll material were today dispatched from Mini Secretariat.
The polling parties were dispatched in presence of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Shopian, Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPEO informed that district administration had made adequate arrangements for polling parties and said that voting for the blocks in Shopian-I and Shopian-II will take place from 7 am to 2 pm .He said that all the preparations have been made for holding free and fair polls.
He impressed upon the ROs and ARO to ensure that poll parties reach their destinations well in time.
