Submits proposal for introduction of Bioresources at +2 level
SRINAGAR: A delegation comprising of faculty members and students from the Department of Bioresources, University of Kashmir called upon Principal Secretary School Education and Skill Development Department Govt of UT of J&K Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon here on Friday.
The delegation was led by Head, Dept of Bioresources KU Dr Manzoor A. Mir.
The delegation submitted a comprehensive proposal regarding the introduction of Bioresources at +2 level in school education Department which was thoroughly discussed during the meeting.
The syllabi, scope and need for introduction of skill enhanced courses like Bioresources was also discussed during this meeting.
While interacting with the delegation Principal Secretary Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon said that Bioresources is having a lot of scope and efforts would be made to introduce it as a separate subject at + 2 level in school Education Department.
Moreover Dr Samoon directed the delegation to conduct a webinar on need of skill based courses in the education department keeping in view the New Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020).
Dr Samoon also asked the delegation to submit a comprehensive proposal for collaborative training of students for skill based programs with different agencies of the government.
