DDC reviews power scenario at Kulgam

KULGAM: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today convened a meeting of PDD authorities to review overall power scenario and the status of ongoing developmental works being carried out by the department under different schemes in the district.

On the occasion, the DDC inquired about the availability, demand and position of power supply in the district and also took a comprehensive review of the work on other vital projects spearheaded by the various wings of PDD under various schemes including, IPDS, PMDP, DDUGJY etc.

The DDC directed the concerned to ensure completion of works meant for augmenting power supply in the district within the given time including up-gradation works of receiving stations within the district.

He impressed upon the authorities to speed up branch cutting and augmentation of the network and to set ready the system for winters.

The meeting also reviewed the functioning of Regional Transformer Repairing Workshop, availability of buffer stock of transformers and status of damaged transformers in the district.

While reviewing the repairing capacity of the Regional Transformer Repairing workshop, the DDC impressed upon the concerned that the damaged transformers be replaced/repaired at an earliest.

The meeting was attended by SE (KPDCL), South circle, CPO and other officers from various wings of KPDCL.
