DDC Rajouri directs prompt filling of vacancies in Class-IV posts

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has directed for notifying Class-IV vacancies for recruitment of more than 600 educated youth on the fast track basis.

The decision was taken after a comprehensive review of vacancies, recruitment rules and requirement of field staff in government offices. The departments have been asked to issue notification regarding vacancies and recruitment timelines to fill these vacancies in a time-bound manner.

The vacancies approved by the DDC to be immediately notified for recruitment include 121 in Health department, 15 in Municipal Committee Sunderbani, 13 in PMGSY Division Rajouri, 27 in Sheep Husbandry, 14 in MC Rajouri, 10 in Handicrafts, 39 in Rural Development, 178 in Education, 25 in MC Thannamandi, 35 in Irrigation & Flood Control Division, 12 in I&FC Division Nowshera, 9 in Mechanical Engineering Department apart from other departments.

Earlier, the DDC chaired a meeting of all district and sectoral officers and underlined the measures to be taken for prompt redressal of public grievances, enhancing public outreach, installation of biometric attendance system in offices, effective touring, improvement in priority sector lending, Aadhaar seeding of schemes, removal of encroachments, developmental of infrastructure in urban and suburban area, rural livelihood and assets, departmental promotions and welfare measures for employees especially in service matters.

It was impressed upon that all the district officers shall hear the public issues on every Thursday, observe two days mandatory touring and notify public hearing time of minimum two hours for rest of the days.

The DDC also reviewed the status of essential services, status of ration distribution, scholarships, identification of vital lands for development of public infrastructure, developmental needs of border areas, construction of schools, functioning of health institutions.
