DDC reviews progress on JJM, LPs, B2V works at Kupwara

KUPWARA: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission, Languishing Projects, and Back to Village works besides water supply facilities at Schools and Anganwadi Centres.

The DDC discussed all agenda points at length and got appraisal from the concerned Officers and Engineers regarding the status of the ongoing schemes of Jal Shakti, Irrigation and other works. 

He directed the Engineers of Jal Shakti department to accelerate the work of uploading of availability of water supply facilities in Government schools in Kupwara and Handwara PHE divisions within two days. 

While reviewing the progress of PHE schemes under the Back to Village programme, the DDC asked Executive Engineers of PHE division Kupwara and Handwara to submit Utilization Certificates (UCs) by December 07, 2020 through concerned Superintending Engineers. 

He also took stock of preparations of DPRs for water Supply Schemes under JJM and asked concerned to speed up the process.

The DDC reviewed availability of tanker service and pending liabilities during COVID-19 containment measures. 

Among others, SE, Hydraulic Kupwara, Joint Director Planning and other concerned officers and Engineers were present in the meeting.
