DDC Kupwara reviews arrangements for ‘My Town My Pride’ prog

KUPWARA: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for upcoming ‘My Town My Pride’ programme here.

The meeting discussed threadbare all arrangements to ensure successful conduct of the programme, scheduled to be held at Kupwara, Handwara and Langate on October 19 and 20.

The DDC asked all the concerned officers to work in tandem and coordination so that people of these 3 towns could get benefitted of the new initiative of the Government, envisaged to provide service delivery and governance at the doorsteps of the people living in towns.

He instructed Executive Officers of Municipal Committees Kupwara, Handwara and Langate to provide the status of all developmental works under 14th F.C and identify the works which shall be inaugurated or laid foundation stone during the programme.

He also asked them to make sure that all Individual Beneficiary Oriented Schemes (IBOS) like PMAY Urban be saturated in the towns.

The DDC also directed them to ensure that cent percent coverage shall be made in Pension cases under Old aged, physically challenged and Widows pension.

He asked the concerned Revenue officers to establish their camps at the identified venues and issue citizen services like Domicile certificates, SC/ST Certificates and other revenue related papers.

The DDC also reviewed the status of the Self Employment programme, SBM Urban and gave on spot directions to the concerned officers to ensure that all pending cases of the schemes shall be resolved and sanction letters be issued during the 2 day programme “My Town My Pride”.

Among others, Nodal Officer for B2V3, Mohammad Ishaq Shah, Assistant Director FCS&CA, District Information Officer, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees Kupwara, Handwara and Langate besides representatives from Lead Bank Office and other concerned attended the meeting.
