KULGAM: According to District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Kulgam, 31 candidates have withdrawn their nomination for phase-I of District Development Council (DDC) constituencies and Panchayat by-elections in the district.
Among these 31, 05 DDC, 09 Sarpanch and 17 Panch candidates have withdrawn their candidature on the last date for withdrawal of nominations for phase 1st.
Now, a total of 195 candidates including 14 DDC, 47 for Sarpanch and 134 for panch seats are in fray for the first phase in the district.
