DDC Kulgam reviews dev scenario, achievements under beneficiary schemes

KULGAM: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam, Showkat Aijaz Bhat today chaired a meeting of officers to review development scenarios and achievements made under various beneficiary oriented schemes in the district.      

The meeting was informed that during CFY, 2020-21, 116.82 Km’s of road length has been macadamized by various executing agencies in the district and the process is going on.

It was further informed that 04 major bridges costing Rs 26.78 crore have been also completed  during the current financial year including 11 span Ashmuji-Kilam Gund bridge costing 14 crore, Ashthal bridge, Manigam – Panjan bridge and Brinal -Chairward  bridge.

The meeting was also informed that 04 bridges and 11 roads at a cost of Rs100.96 crore under NABARD/CRF/UT sector are in progress at different stages.

The DDC stressed to ensure completion of all ongoing work projects within the set timeline.

The DDC also reviewed the progress made so far under MGNREGA, 14th FC, PMAY and other schemes.

Besides these, the achievements and progress made under various beneficiary oriented and welfare schemes was also reviewed by DDC and the concerned officers were directed to ensure cent percent coverage of all eligible beneficiaries’ under these schemes.

The meeting was attended by JD Planning, ACD, ACR, Ex. Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, I&FC and JKPCC besides CMO, CEO, CAO, CHO and other district and sectoral officers.
