Training for exam Superintendent held at GDC Kathua
KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Om Prakash Bhagat today convened a meeting of Magistrates and Examination Observes to finalise the arrangements for smooth conduct of examination for Accounts Assistants (AA), Panchayat being conducted by J&K Service Selection Board on November 10.
Threadbare discussion was held regarding role and duties including pre-examination day activities, posting of staff, lifting and collection of examination material, seating arrangements and other necessary facilities.
The DC sought cooperation from all the concerned departments for conducting free and fair exams and exhorted upon all the officers to put in place all the arrangements well on time.
He further asked the magistrates to ensure law and order in and around the centres. He informed that Section 144 shall be imposed around all 50 examination centers across the district to maintain a good examination atmosphere. He directed the exam observers to ensure adequate seating, sensitization besides lighting and drinking water arrangements at the exam centres.
Later Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kathua Atul Gupta chaired a training session for Superintendents of Examination Centers (ECs) during which concerned officers were sensitized about their role and responsibilities for conducting free and fair examinations.
The ADC stressed upon the Superintendents to ensure examination is conducted in a smooth and transparent manner. He also said that Videographers have been engaged for video coverage of the examination. He also called upon the Superintendents to ensure proper adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.
