DDC reviews developmental scenario in Ganderbal

GANDERBAL:  The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the developmental scenario and progress on mega projects in the district.

While reviewing the sector-wise performance of the PHE,

PWD, PDD, Health, PMGSY, Forest, Agriculture and Horticulture sectors, besides district Capex budget achievements, the departmental heads apprised the DC about physical and financial progress on major ongoing developmental projects of the district.

The meeting also reviewed the status of various ongoing Languishing

Projects that include construction of Dak Banglow at Fatehpora, construction of motorable bridge over Nallah Sindh at Bamloora, Yechama

Kangan Bridge, Bridge at Akhal Kangan, Polytechnic College at Hatbura and construction of DIET building at Nunnar besides construction of Degree College at Kangan.

The DC stressed the district heads to complete the works on the projects within the set timelines and asked the executing agencies and departments to complete all the languishing projects with special emphasis of quality of work.

The meeting also discussed the macadamization of roads in the district and DC exhorted upon the Executive Engineers of PMGSY and R& B to expedite the macadamization process prioritizing the vital roads of the district.

The DDC asked the departmental heads to work with zeal and emphasized on regular monitoring of works as per prescribed

Guidelines, he also laid stress on ensuring all SOPs related to COVID-19 are followed at all work places in letter and spirit.

Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineers of PHE, PMGSY, I&FC and R&B, CMO, CEO besides other district and officers.
