GANDERBAL: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting of Revenue Department to review its functioning, progress on removal of encroachments besides writing of Jamabandies in the district.
During the meeting ACR, briefed the DDC about the progress of removal of encroachments and writing of Jamabandies of all villages of the district.
While reviewing the status of removal of encroachments on state and kahchari land, the DC sought details from the concerned Tehsildars about the retrieved land.
Furthermore, The DC exhorted upon the Tehsildars to start massive anti-encroachment drives in their respective tehsils to retrieve the encroached land.
Taking strong note regarding the completion of pending Jamabandies, the DDC directed the ACR to initiate stern action as per rules against those officials who have failed to achieve the target and fix responsibility on other officials so that pending Jamabandies are completed at an earliest.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, SDM Kangan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, all Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars and Patwaris.
