RAMBAN: District Development Council, Chairperson, Ramban, Shamshad Shan and Vice-Chairperson, Rabia Beig, today got official residence here at Maitra.
The twin residential accommodations were inaugurated in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam; DDC Members, SSP, ADC, and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the inaugural event, the DDC Chairperson sought cooperation of District Administration to develop Ramban as a model district. She said that the effective implementation of the developmental schemes would be the priority of the District Development Council.
She called upon the officers to take the PRIs on board for effective implementation of development activities in the district.
She also highlighted the role of three tier Panchayat Raj System in planning and development process. She called upon the officers of various departments to work in coordination with PRIs to ensure overall development of the district.
The DC and SSP congratulated the DDC Chairperson & Vice -Chairperson and hoped that the developmental process on grassroots level will get a boost with the establishment of 3-tier PRI. The DC assured all possible support from District Administration.
