GANDERBAL: District Development Council Chairperson, Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq along with DDC member Sajad Durani today inaugurated 3rd edition of Durani Premier League at sports stadium Manigam.
Nuzhat Ishfaq while interacting with the participants emphasized upon the youth to take part in games and sports besides encouraging others to follow the same.
She also said that the objectives of organizing this tournament is to explore the hidden talent of budding youth besides giving them opportunity to improve and hone up their skills. At the same time, she said that sports will keep them away from drug abuse and other social evils.
DDC Chairperson enroute interacted with the people of Arhama, Dardpora, Manigam and enquired from them regarding the basic amenities being provided to them like Power supply and other essential services.
The people put forth their demands and issues of public importance which include power supply, water facility, Health and cleaning of Irrigation Canals etc.
The DDC Chairperson heard them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner within a shortest possible time for the well-being of the people of the area.
Nuzhat Ishfaq also paid obeisance at Ziyarat Hazrat Haji Musa (RAH) at Benhama Lar and participated in the annual Urs Mubarak, where she prayed for increased prospects of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Nuzhat also took stock of the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the Urs mubarak.
During the tour she was accompanied by DDC member Lar, Sajad Durani and other officials.
