DDCs and BDCs also participated in plan formulation
BUDGAM: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the status of PMGSY roads in the district.
The recently elected representatives of DDCs and BDCs were also invited in the plan formulation of PMGSY roads in the district.
The Ex. Engineer PMGSY informed the meeting that the list of roads in all 17 blocks have been identified for execution in the upcoming financial year.
He said the list of roads framed shall be forwarded to DDCs and BDCs for inclusion or exclusion of roads if any.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that District Administration in collaboration with District Development Council shall take the development scenario to a new level in the district and for this all functionaries have to work as a team.
The Chairman DDC appreciated the gesture of District Administration in conducting immediate meeting with elected representatives in connection with plan formulation of PMGSY roads.
He emphasized upon the need of macadamized roads in rural areas and hailed the initiative of plan formulation which eventually will involve elected representatives as active participants thus ensuring grassroots level democracy.
The meeting among others was attended by DDC Chairman, Nazir Ahmad Khan, DDC members, BDCs, CPO, Ex. Er PMGSY and other concerned officials.
