BUDGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today chaired a meeting of concerned officers regarding upcoming ‘My Town, My Pride’ (MTMP) programme scheduled to be held on 19th and 20th October, 2020.
The DC Budgam on the occasion threw light on the aims and objectives of the program and highlighted the importance of the program that focuses on rejuvenation of life and development of town areas of the district.
The DC instructed all Departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Handloom, Handicrafts, Industries, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Revenue, Social welfare, ICDS, Labour to exhibit and install stalls demonstrating and depicting schemes, products and services available for public welfare.
The DC further directed all District/Sectoral officers to remain present invariably at concerned venues. Executive Officers Municipal Committee shall finalize location of venues, installation of hoarding and tents within their Jurisdiction, he added.
Mirza said that District Administration shall provide all necessary support and assistance to Municipal Committees for successful culmination of the program.
The DC emphasized that all the Guidelines and SOPs related to COVID-19 pandemic shall be strictly followed.
During the meeting, the DC read out the day wise activities to be carried out by visiting officers with active involvement of all concerned officers and officials of the district.
The DC exhorted upon the concerned to launch plantation and sanitation drives across all town areas well in advance and organize cultural events and ensure distribution of sports kits at the concerned venues.
The meeting among others was attended by ADC Budgam, Dr. Nasir Ahmad, GM DIC Budgam Mohammad Ashraf, CPO, ACR, District/Sectoral officers.
