BARAMULLA: In continuation to its efforts to raise awareness on Covid-19 among various stakeholders, the District Administration Baramulla in collaboration with PET Welfare Society today organized day long awareness cum sensitisation programme at Dar-ul-Salam Children’s Home at Sopore.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo complimented the participants and underlined the role of different stakeholders to combat the challenge. He said the programme aims to eliminate misconceptions that have been spread about COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr Itoo also said that the challenge of COVID-19 has not faded away and there is a need to adopt preventive measures in letter and spirit. He urged the participants to strictly follow all the requisite Covid-19 related SOPs and guidelines for averting further exigencies.
On the occasion, various speakers threw light on different aspects and necessary measures that need to be followed to control the further spread of COVID-19. They also presented their valuable suggestions and feedback in this regard.
Among others, ADC Sopore, BMO, Medical officers and other concerned functionaries were present in the programme besides, religious and community leaders, civil society members, traders and prominent citizens also attended it.
