BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday visited Bandipora Tehsil Office to assess the damages caused due to a fire incident on Saturday evening.
On the occasion, the DC was briefed about the damages caused to the building. It was informed that the officers were able to save vital official records during the incident.
The DC directed the officers of R&B to expedite the work on the new Tehsil office complex that is near completion so that the same can be made functional at an earliest.
Meanwhile a 4-member committee headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Bandipora shall hold enquiry into fire incident at Tehsil Office Bandipora
In an order issued today, ADC Bandipora has asked the 4 member committee to submit its findings. District Statistical and Evaluation Officer Bandipora, BDO Aloosa and DSP (DR) Bandipora are part of the 4-member committee.
The DC during the visit was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Afsar Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Executive Engineer R&B, Tehsildar Bandipora and other senior officers of the district.
