DC B’pora disburses Rs 1.14 Cr among youth under B2V3 Self Employment Prog

BANDIPORA:  Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Tuesday disbursed an amount of Rs 1.14 Cr as loan among the beneficiaries of various government sponsored Self Employment schemes under B2V3 and My Town My Pride Programme.

The Deputy Commissioner handed over cheques worth Rs 1.14 Cr among 19 beneficiaries who were in need of financial assistance for self employment. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the government aims to provide handholding to the youth who opt for self employment so that they are able to set up sustainable business and earn livelihood both for themselves and other unemployed.

He urged the youth of the district to avail the benefits of various government sponsored schemes for establishing various income generating units to eradicate unemployment menace in the district.

Dr Owais said there is a huge potential of establishing various self employment units under various agriculture and non-agricultural units that can flourish well in the district.

He said the government will provide handholding to such youth till their business flourishes.

He also called upon the J&K Bank officials asking them to extend financial assistance to these entrepreneurs besides providing handholding to them so that the youth who opt for self employment can set up sustainable businesses and flourish in their lives.

Among others, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and representatives of various banks also attended the event.
